Dive into the imperial mausoleum complex of the Qing Dynasty
This excursion explores the magnificent Qing Tombs in Zunhua, nestled between four mountains.
Spanning a vast area, the Qing Imperial Tombs house 5 emperors, 14 empresses, and 136 concubines, more impressive than the famous Ming tombs, yet visited by few.
The tour begins at Yuling, Emperor Qianlong’s lavish resting place, where marble doors lead to chambers adorned with Buddha figures and Tibetan scriptures. Next up is Ding Dongling, the stunning tomb of Empress Dowager Cixi, whose grand hall mirrors her Forbidden City quarters.
The day concludes with a delicious Chinese lunch.
